ONE-derland!!!

So many exciting things have happened this week!!
First, my son Jack is 18 months old today, so that is definitely something to celebrate! I can't believe how quickly a year and a half has gone by...time please slow down (after we go to Disney of course!).

Second, we are only 37 days away from Disney!! I cannot believe it is going to be here in almost a month! I've been training hard for the half-marathon, and completed 11 miles on Saturday with Paige. The last few miles were definitely tough as I think I overstretched my quad, so I was really feeling it towards the end.
Yesterday, I posted my first LIVE Facebook video about my personal experience with the 21 Day Fix and Shakeology, since my next challenge group starts on October 3.  Let me tell you, it was the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done! I feel like I was talking sooo fast and just rambling on. Friends and family were super sweet and watched it LIVE which helped knowing they were supporting me.
I'm on such a high right now with all of the support I've received from the video and my weight loss and fitness journey, so it's been awesome! I've been super determined this week with my clean eating with the 21DF eating plan, and running. Plus, when I weighed in this morning, I was 198.6!!!! I'm finally back in ONE-derland!!! It's been MONTHS since I was under 200, and it felt so good to finally break through that plateau that I cried!

12 Weeks into Training

Whew!! I can't believe I'm already into the fourth week of school! It's been crazy busy, but now that Open House and things are done, life after school should start to calm down.

I started my Facebook "like" page for my Beachbody Coaching business, and I'm so excited to use it as a vessel to reach more people looking for their chance to improve their health & fitness! My goal is to be more intentional and consistent with my blog posts so that I can update others on my journey and results.

That being said, I am now entering into Week 12 of my training plan for the RunDisney Wine & Dine Half Marathon on November 6 (only 47 days away)!! I completed my best MM (Magic Mile) pace on Saturday with a pace of 11:56, so I'm excited to change up my running & walking intervals during my 11 mile run this Saturday. This journey through training has been a welcomed challenge, and it's even inspired the hubby to get back into running, and to set a goal of competing in the Army 10 Miler in October 2017! Even more, we've been bringing our little dude along on the trail for runs, and it makes my heart happy that we are setting an example of making health and fitness a priority!

The hubby, the little guy, and myself out for a Saturday morning run!

I'm currently running and in Week 3 of Beachbody's new program "Country Heat" and I'm loving it! It' s a nice change of pace as opposed to the 21 Day Fix, and it's fun!

Next month, I'll be holding a new challenge group, and thinking about trying 21 Day Fix Extreme!! :)

A New Journey

Hi there! Wow...where in the world has summer gone?! I can't believe it's August already and I'm just weeks away from the start of the new school year. Hard to believe I'll be going into my 6th year of teaching physical education with CCPS. But as always, I always find myself getting excited for the new school year and the many adventures that await me with my new students.

We've had an awesome summer here...visiting family in Indiana (we go back next week to meet my new nephew!), building a pirate ship playhouse for my 17 month old son, finishing projects around the house, training for the RunDisney Wine & Dine Half-Marathon (November 6) and getting more acquainted with my Cricut Explore Air. A fun and fulfilling summer for sure!

To top it all off, I've made the decision, after lots of thoughts and prayers, to become a Beachbody Coach! In May of this year, I joined a Challenge group of my now coach, Alesha Haley, and it was such a great experience. I've never felt more supported, respected, and genuinely cared for during my health and fitness journey. It left such an impact on me that my motivation to keep moving forward to reach my goals led me to make this exciting decision. I'm so excited to be a part of Team Rise and to help others with their health & fitness goals. I know that God has huge plans for me, and I can't wait to see His will unfold.

I'll be trying out Beachbody's new program Country Heat (I'm so excited), and will also be continuing my half-marathon training as I learn more about coaching and serving others!

Stay tuned for more updates, recipes & adventures!
